Anger - express it or repress it? Up to you, but...

Hi Reader,

The theme of Anger keeps coming up in my conversations with everyone, from clients to my kids to friends. It feels like we are all being asked to finally FEEL and release our repressed anger.

So many people are walking around like tightly wound pressure cookers waiting to explode. Is it any surprise that we are seeing so many random acts of violence? We have become a society that has buried our resentment, hurt, and anger six feet deep in our fragile souls.

Without awareness that all these feelings are brewing just below the surface, it's no surprise that we find ourselves RE-acting or OVER-reacting.

What happens when that anger is aimed towards our loved ones? It can create chasms in our relationships, make us feel deep shame in the aftermath, causing us to then act from a place of guilt. It may trigger people-pleasing tendencies whereby we overgive to others at the expense of ourselves, and thus, repeat the cycle of resentment, as we continue to self-abandon in an attempt to self-soothe.

What if there was a better way? What if it were possible to break the cycle? What if you could safely FEEL the anger to release it rather than repress it? What we feel, we heal. What we repress causes us to digress. It curtails our ability to connect in a healthy way with our loved ones.

If you're ready to break the pattern, to RESPOND instead of REACT, then stay tuned. In the meantime, I leave you with a short Rage Ritual to help you move the anger THROUGH your body instead of trapping it inside.

➡️ Find a song on Spotify that makes you want to jump around the room, shake your body, or belt loudly. Basically something upbeat. Depending on my mood, I might pick a lively Shamanic drum beat like this or Hard to Handle by The Black Crowes (fast, nonstop belting!) or some headbanging heavy metal. I may even pick a song whose lyrics align with what I feel angry about.

Try it. Then hit reply and let me know how it goes!

To your growth and expansion,

Corissa

Hi Reader, I wasn’t planning on offering anything for Black Friday or Cyber Monday this year. Truly. For years, I stayed far away from BFCM promotions because I never wanted to discount the depth of transformation that happens inside my 1:1 sessions. I also used to feel guilty — like offering a deal was somehow disrespecting the clients who invested at full price. But that was my own internal story… and something I’ve spent a lot of time healing. Because the truth is: The value of this work...

Hi Reader, I want to share something with you — something I see happen over and over again in the women I work with (and truthfully, in myself too). When you’ve spent years — maybe decades — in survival mode, the idea of slowing down sounds beautiful…But the experience of slowing down can feel almost unbearable. In so many of my sound healing sessions, women tell me the same thing after their first visit:“At first, I felt like I couldn’t relax.”“My mind wouldn’t stop… and then it did.”“I had...

Hi Reader, There’s something important I want to share — something that can help make so much sense of what you’ve been feeling in your body. Your gut and your nervous system are deeply connected. They communicate constantly. And when one is overwhelmed, inflamed, or depleted… the other follows. If you’ve been noticing any of these: • bloating or digestive issues that flare with stress • waking with anxiety or a heavy chest • brain fog or trouble concentrating • inflammation or water...
